The Stitching Belle is a Nashville stitchery where creativity and community bloom.

Needlepoint and community go hand in hand for me. Whether you learned the craft from your mom, a beginner stitch night at a LNS, or TikTok, collaborating and stitching with others enhances the experience. 

I learned to needlepoint in NYC while there was a lull in filming due to the strikes in the entertainment industry. I had been working in television as a food stylist but always found myself stitching or designing canvases in my down time. I enjoyed visiting the local needlepoint stores in whatever city I was filming in and dragged any of my coworkers along who wanted to understand my obsession for all things needlepoint. Wherever I found myself, I regularly tried to log on to my weekly zooms to stitch with others and when I was home in NY, I would stitch weekly with my friends. My passion for needlepoint really grew thanks to the amazing community of stitchers that I found both in person and online. 

While the decision to leave New York was a tough one, coming home to Nashville, where I was born and where my family lives, was easy because I was so excited to start the next chapter of my life. 

Creating things is engrained in who I am. I’m onto my biggest WIP (work in progress) yet… establishing a needlepoint store where people can gather to find and fuel their passion for needlepoint.
